Clothes Closet at North United Methodist Church, 44th and Fremont, from 9 a.m.-noon the first Saturday of each month and the first Monday each month from 6-8 p.m. Donations accepted when open or see if there is some clothing you may need. Breakfast and a Bag. The Joint Ministries of Evangelist Temple, Brooklyn Center Hispanic Seventh Day Adventist and Gethsemane Lutheran host a free community breakfast at Gethsemane Lutheran Church on 47th and Colfax. When you are finished with breakfast and coffee you are welcome to take a bag of groceries home with you.

Gethsemane Lutheran Church, 4656 Colfax, and Evangelist Temple sponsor a hotdog cookout every Wednesday from 6-7:30 p.m. Anyone in the community can enjoy hot dogs, chips, fruit or veggies, dessert and beverage. When you leave you receive a bag of fresh produce. The church also serves lunch every weekday from noon-1 p.m. for all ages. 2nd Annual Harvest Festival, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Penn and Lowry. Enjoy music, the car show, lots of art vendors, food, kids zone, farmers market, community information tables, best baked apple pie contest with prize and recipe published locally for the winner. Biggest home grown vegetable contest with prizes in four vegetable categories: squash, tomato, green pepper and cucumber. Food shelf donations also being gathered at the event. An Apple Pie Bake-off is new this year, to be judged by the Camden Lions.
